There are several different types of outdoor tables, such as a bistro table, round table, or and rectangular table. A bistro table is small and great for two people to sit and sip coffee in the morning. A round table is wonderful for smaller families to enjoy a meal and have a fun relaxing game night. The rectangular table is perfect for large family gatherings such as reunions and parties. Choose a table size that is right for you and your family and avoid buying one that is too large for your patio or deck so that you are not cramming the table in a small area, as this would be uncomfortable for all.
When you first go shopping for patio tables and chairs you may be taken back by the price. It may seem those well-made patio tables and chairs are a major expense and are going to make a hard hit to your pocket book. But there are some things you need to keep in mind as you make this purchase. Instead of being like those old molded patio tables and chairs that you had to regularly replace as they cracked and broke in the sun, these patio tables and chairs will last for years and years to come. They may be a bigger expense up front, but better quality patio tables and chairs are worth it in the long run.
Few will argue that wood is a classic choice and a good one, too. Northern white cedar and red cedar remain popular, but teak patio tables are both striking and long lasting.
When it comes to patio tables that will put up with a lot of use and abuse, iron is where it's at. Once iron is cast or bent into shape, it's staying that way. You can do almost anything to an iron patio table, short of going after it with a blowtorch, and not worry about the repercussions. The only real downside of iron patio furniture is that if the iron is painted, that paint may peel over time, and need a redo. If you want to avoid that, just purchase plain, unpainted, iron.
It started with the housing crunch. Fewer home sales meant fewer furniture sales happening. That includes inside furniture and patio furniture like tables.
